ElmerFEM.FEA.BoundaryMask

This task type generates standard boundary masks for use in ElmerFEM finite element analysis. It creates binary masks that define specific boundary regions (X, Y, or Z) of a 3D image volume, which can be used to apply boundary conditions in FEA simulations. This automates the creation of standard boundary condition masks required for computational modeling in finite element models.

The task supports three modes of operation:

• x-bounds: Marks the first and last slices along the X-axis

• y-bounds: Marks the first and last slices along the Y-axis

• z-bounds: Marks the first and last slices along the Z-axis

Each boundary is assigned a different pixel value (1 for first boundary, 2 for last boundary) to distinguish between different boundary conditions.
