User Management

Creating User Accounts

User accounts can be created and managed via Web Admin. Use the menu Services ‣ Open Web Admin.

It is recommended to create a personal user account for each user. This allows managing permissions, keeping projects separate.

User actions are recorded for traceability.

Changing User Password

Each user can change their own password in Web Admin. Administrators can change the password of any user.

User Groups and Permissions

Administrators can create users groups and manage group memberships. Group membership can grant permissions to members. For example by default the admin user is member of the admins group, which grants global admin permission.

Sharing Projects

Non-admin users can by default only access the projects they created. But projects can be shared with specific other users by right-clicking and selecting Share Project. Administrators can always access all projects.

Network Profiles

Logging into XamFlow requires a network profile, created and configured in File‣Preferences‣Network Profiles.

The profile name is selected in the dropdown and should contain a appropriate description. The host and HTTPS port are used to connect to the XF Server or XF Workstation. The username is the name of the user account, so a network profile should be created for each user account.
